Dr. Eugene Porreca has over 25 years in the practice of
surgery. After his general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital, he
remained at Temple University for a Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Porreca was
in private practice in Philadelphia before moving to Las Vegas in 1989. He has
been Chief of Surgery at several hospitals in Las Vegas and is on staff at most
hospitals in Las Vegas.
Dr. Porrecca’s focus is on minimally invasive correction of problems associated with varicose vein disease and venous reflux. One such treatment is the use of radiofrequency probes to treat problems of the great saphenous vein. This VNUS procedure is also useful as a technique to treat other venous problems such as problematic perforator veins. Dr. Porreca also applies minimally invasive techniques and stab phlebectomy along with vein sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins.
Dr. Porreca, through his association with the Vegas Valley Vein Institute is pleased to offer a full scope of modalities for the eradication of venous problems.
